July 2011 — ""Gelato" ice-cream has been all the crave for quite some time now and parlors have recently started opening up by the bunches in Calgary. One of the best is called Spoon Me located on the heart of Kensington Ave right next to the rows of coffee shops. It is a small but neatly decorated store front. For those who aren't familiar with gelato shops they're basically ice cream parlors which serve a special kind of healthy gelato. Gelatos do not contain as much sugar and uses no milk fat or butter like regular ice cream thus making it much more nature and healthier for you. It is quite a delicious and cold healthy treat on a hot summer day. Spoon Me had a limited selection of flavors to pick from but did offer plenty of choices for toppings such as chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc. I had the acai berry and it was quite good."

July 2011 — "Spoon Me is tucked away on the busy 17th Ave. It is close to blockbuster and is a relatively small place. The idea itself is very unique and fun. This place sells frozen yogurt and allows you to choose your toppings. Toppings include fruit, nuts, and cookie bits or candy. When you walk in, you will notice the funky little signs around the shop and the big oval egg-shaped chairs with cushions that are fun to sit in. There is also a small billboard where people have written on their Spoon Me napkins which you can spend the time reading while enjoying your frozen yogurt. We enjoyed the Acai berry with oreo and mango. I think the idea of the shop is very cute, the frozen yogurt is tasty and of good quality, however, the prices are a little expensive. Expect to be paying $5-$6 for a small scoop. But it's worth trying during the summer! "
