December 2009 — "Four couples met at the Circle Bar in Calgary’s Stampede Casino on a Friday evening for some food and drinks. The Casino offers free underground parking which we quite enjoyed on a cold winter night. They also have specials on wine $5 per glass and $4.50 for beer and hi-balls. The two couples who arrived first asked to have separate bills and were assured that would be the case. When we arrived, that person’s shift must have ended as we were served by a different wait staff and when we asked to confirm about the separate tabs we were told that they were unable to do that. As you can guess, come the end of the night there was a nightmare trying to figure out exactly who owed what. Thankfully the food portion was easy to figure out, but the drinks on the other hand, not so much. The food was quite tasty for a Casino we ordered the club wrap which was served with a large portion of crispy fries. The club wrap also comes in a Thai version which others seemed to enjoy. There are also things like onion rings and poutine as well as burgers, etc. on the menu some of which our table had and enjoyed."
