December 2009 — "It didn't occur to me that there could be such a big difference between good and bad Vietnamese restaurants. I was thoroughly dissatisfied with what I had at Kim Lan Viet Restaurant. I think I would definitely take the time to do a do over with this place. Of course, the general dishes are found in this menu, and I always figure the soups are a pretty safe choice and on a cooler day, it was nice. But temperature is not all it is about. My noodles just did not taste right. I am sure that they over cooked it and unfortunately, the soup really tasted more like soup base from a package of instant noodles or something. It wasn't a nice clear broth or anything. I was and am dissatisfied with this meal and I will continue to tell everyone of my bad experiences because I don't want anyone else to share in my disappointment. Even the vermicelli noodles were nothing to boast about. I don't know what made me come in, but I won't have that curiosity go off on me again. "
