December 2009 — "Came to this pub found in a strip-mall on 32nd avenue, to play some pool and get some dinner. For a strip-mall pub, Shotz is very nicely maintained, with a nice open setting and four pool tables to boot. I ordered a steak sandwich with fries, while a buddy I was with ordered the pork bites. Both came very quickly. My steak was incredibly under-done. Luckily our waitress was accommodating when I asked that it be taken back and thrown on the grill for a bit longer. Suffice to say, when I got it back, it cured my hunger, but by no means was it something I would write home about. The pork bites on the other hand were pretty good. While this pub definitely gets points for it's warm vibe and good service (not to mention decent pool tables), it loses points for its food menu costs. For whatever reason, everything on the menu seems to be a good dollar or two more than what you would pay at any other neighborhood pub. Still if you're intent is to just shoot some 8-ball and grab a pint, then give Shotz a try."
