July 2010 — "The food was great! We came here to try it out because we had an entertainment card, which we often use to find new places to dine at. We're so glad we did! I ordered the snapper and it was delicious. I was impressed with the side of asparagus--wasn't over cooked, not undercooked, just the right crunch! I know asparagus is difficult to get right too! The service was really good. There was a mistake in the kitchen which caused our food to be severely delayed. They nicely made up for it! It turned our experience around from being annoyed, to finishing the meal with a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back! I also really liked their Friday special--Friday martini for $5!!! Vic's is a hotel restaurant located not within downtown but just a short walk away from the Grand Pacific Hotel. I've lived here for a year and didn't even know this place existed because you'd never pass by it on a normal walk!"

October 2009 — "I'm a hard sell when it comes to hotel restaurants. I know there are a few good ones out there, but by and large most eateries inside a hotel seem to be overpriced establishments and I tend to avoid them. We happened to be right by the Harbour Towers Hotel this Halloween after the Zombie Walk, and couldn't help being drawn in by the lavishly costumed guests attending the Comicon inside. We noticed Vic's Steakhouse in the lobby right about the time our bellies started to rumble. We decided to give it a try. The lounge was dark and elegantly decorated. The seats are comfortable, and our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. They offered a Beer & Burger combo this day for only $10.99, and we ordered one each. Vic's burgers are house made with Angus beef, served on a sourdough bun. The beef is juicy and flavourful, and the serving very satisfying. The Blue Buck on tap was some of the cleanest, coldest draft I have ever been served, and so we had another pint apiece. With our bill topped $27 for 2 beer each, and a beautiful burger & fries, it won't be long before we go back. They offer specials every day of the week, including weekends. Their Surf & Turf Tuesdays offer a seared tenderloin, sauteed prawns, baked potato and all the fixings for only $12.99. Tremendous values for some good eats. I am a convert."

Situated within the Harbour Tower Hotel, Vic's Steakhouse is a contemporary restaurant with a definitive West Coast Canadian flavour with Haida artwork adorning the walls. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they use regional ingredients when possible. A few examples include Salt Spring Island mussels, roasted free range chicken, BC clam ravioli, AAA Canadian rib eye, and Angus beef burger with onion aioli on a sourdough bun. A lounge is also onsite with a bar menu featuring an array of appy's.
