December 2009 — "The food was good and the customer service was excellent. We ordered the 8 pieces deal and the cashier told us it was going to be about 15 minutes and the food arrived in 20. It was fresh and hot definitely worth the wait, the best fried chicken meal we have had in a long time. The spicy wings were breaded and are nice too not the typical marinated sticky finger type that is too bland or too hot to eat. We loved the fries; oh the potato wedges are even better. A friend recommend the place to us and we will definitely go back, heard the grill chicken is really good too, we’ll try that next time. A++++++"

"Not so great fried chicken"

November 2009 — "Located in the same complex as Bestbuy in the North East of Calgary, I noticed a new fried chicken restaurant. After months of driving by, I finally gave in and gave it a try. It is a small restaurant that advertises it sells “Halal” Chickens. I ordered the 2 piece meal that came with fries, a drink and 2 additional wings. The price was about $7.95, and I thought it was reasonably priced. However, after tasting the food, I cant say I would come back. First of all, we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food to arrive as it was still cooking. I guess with a small establishment such as this, its hard to have enough food on hand. But 30 minutes is quite ridiculous for a “fast” food restaurant. I’d be find if they warned us before hand, but were told it would take 10 minutes at most. Biting into the chicken, I found it extremely greasy, more so than your typical KFC..etc. The fries were bland and tasteless, and the wings were very dry. The tables we sat at were also dirty and lined with grease and crumbs from previous customers. Overall a disappointing experience and I don’t think I will go back for a return visit."
