July 2011 — "Fortune Food is a throwback. Most well known for their fresh and frozen dim sum to-go products, they also offer limited seating for people wanting to dine in. Having never eaten inside Fortune, my friends and I decided to try it not too long ago. The dining area is no non-sense. Just 5 or 6 cafeteria like tables with chairs. The menu follows suit, as it contains a very small selection of dim sum items, noodle dishes, and congees. I decided to go with a very light lunch of sticky rice, chicken feet and beef with pan-fried tossed noodles. The sticky rice was quite plain, and not at all what I was hoping for, while the chicken feet were piping hot and covered in a full-flavoured gravy. Furthermore the noodles were very nicely done, with not too much oil and the very distinctive flavour that can only be achieved with a very hot wok. The biggest complaint I have with our lunch here was with the timing of our meal service. While the dim sum items came out promptly (mainly because they were all pre-made as part of their to-go menu. The noodles were not brought out until a good 10-15 minutes after we had finished our dim-sum items. Its a minor quibble when you consider the prices here are more than reasonable, but it was still something that could be easily corrected with proper time management."

Located in a strip mall on Centre Street, this could go easily unnoticed but instead it is a neighbourhood favourite. It features a small and casual atmosphere with some seating available. They are popular for take out orders and specialize in frozen foods as well such as spring rolls and pork dumplings.
