May 2010 — "A bunch of us tried out the new Top Taste Cafe, located on Centere St NE. I must say, wow! Wow because I have never been so entertained by a menu as I had that night. The men had a huge mishmash of anything and everything you can pretty much think of for rice/noodles/spaghetti dishes. Under most conditions, you would think that the more choices the better, but there were so many combinations and dishes, mixed with proteins and foods you wouldn't usually expect to be found together in one plate. It was nice that there was a daily special menu so for those that wanted something easy and didn't want to tackle the menu to try. The food was decently priced, but the quality of food is definitely not up to par for me. I had the seafood medley with garlic cream sauce, which was really imitation crab, overcooked oysters, a couple of shrimps and overdone calamari rings that were truly bland and corn starch thickened sauce. Not very impressive and not very appetizing. If I had the choice I would take Calgary Court any day. You pay a couple extra dollars, but I think you are getting something much better. "

November 2009 — "This restaurant opened for business just couple weeks ago and we decided to give it a try. I ordered an Ox-tongue and fillet dinner combo which should include soup, the maincourse, a cup of tea or coffee and dessert. But I was told it's either tea or coffee or dessert. This was no big deal at all. However, we were completely disappointed when our orders came. The Ox-tongue was tasteless, and the two pieces of deep-fried fillet were thin like sheet of paper, smelly and tasted fishy. The batter was chewy instead of fluffy or chrunchy. We also ordered curried-fillet with sphaghetti. Interestingly, the fillet were sitting in a bowl of coconut-curry soup and the plain sphaghetti was served in a separate plate. My newphew's Ox-tongue sphaghetti was served with ketchup and sugar sauce. We found that the best part of all were the plain rice and the vegetable that accompanied the maincourse. This would be the first and last time we will eat at this place. "
