October 2009 — "I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend on a Saturday. We were pleasantly happy with our meal and our service. The atmosphere is very quaint and has a delicate antique feel. The restaurant area is quite small, but cozy. The menu has limited food items but what we ordered was fantastic. We enjoyed a cup of the daily soup which was a fall harvest squash soup with coconut cream to start our meal. We then had ‘Cream Tea’ which included a scone, provolone cheese, jam, Devonshire cream and fresh fruit. It was very good! The ingredients were all extremely fresh and after the cup of soup it was just the right amount of food for a nice lunch that was not too filling or heavy. ‘Cream Tea’ also comes with your choice of tea. This choice must be made from a list of teas that is 4 pages long! They had so many different varieties to offer, it was hard to choose. The waitress serving us was helpful in describing the different teas as she was quite knowledgeable. And friendly too, I should add. I definitely recommend this establishment for a nice, peaceful lunch or tea. "

The Jasmine Room is a combination tearoom and giftware boutique to offer a unique experience unlike anywhere else in Lethbridge. It is popular for its collection of different, elegant gifts as well as antique furniture. After perusing through the shop, guests can choose from a large array of teas (150 varieties) and sit at an intimate table with a lace tablecloth. Sandwiches, scones, soups and salads are available too.
