July 2011 — "The Broughton Street Deli is a local family owned deli in the downtown Victoria area. It is known for its deli style sandwiches and family atmosphere. I walked into the café and was quickly welcomed by the staff, they were so pleasant. There were already a few people ordering lunch which gave my friend and I some time to review the menu and decide. We shared a soup and sandwich combination, the turkey breast sandwich was so good, made on fresh whole wheat bread, veggies and fresh turkey breast, and they rotate their soups each day, so we tried the red lentil soup which was probably the best I’ve tried. We also had a tea and a triple chocolate chip oatmeal cookie for desert. All I have to say is triple chocolate cookie. It was great! The prices of the menu are very reasonable for a downtown location. There are a few other options in the area you could go for lunch, but the Broughton Street Deli offers exactly what you’re looking for, for a deli style lunch. "
