March 2011 — "Don Day is a Korean restaurant located in the west end of Downtown Calgary. It draws customers from the exchange students and visitors who live in the area. The location is right on the C-train line next to the infamous Mac's downtown. The restaurant itself is very small and has about 8 or 10 tables squeezed in a dining room the size of a large bedroom. People who aren't used to ethnic restaurants might not be able to get used to the small space. When visiting with a couple friends we usually have a tough time just squeezing into our table. Although the decor and size of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired their food, however, is authentic and top notch.
The most popular item on their menu is the gam-ja-tung which is a pork and potato broth that is cooked on your table. The soup is spicy and flavourful and the sizes are generous. Prices are a bit steep and the smells can get on your clothes when cooking on the table. "

October 2009 — "Not the traditional or typical Thanksgiving dinner. My friends and I went to this highly recommended Korean Restaurant for dinner on Thanksgiving and it was a surprise. It may be easily missed, but it's right by the Mac's on the first c-train station coming in from the NW. When we stepped into the restaurant, it was like walking into Korean town. Even the menus where a head scratcher as we tried to figure out what to order, but all was well when the menus were in our hands. Our first indication of the good food was the people. Everyone seemed to be a regular and enjoying themselves to the fullest. Even with the lack of space. The restaurant was a bit cramped, but the flavors were anything but. We ordered a big rib hot pot, along with an egg pancake with veggies. Yummy! Especially on that cold October day. The pot was more than we could handle, with big pieces of ribs, potatoes, and veggies. It was scrumptious and even though a bit spicy, it was very fulfilling. I at least learned there is more than just bip bim bop, glass noodles, and kimchi in Korean cuisine. "

Located downtown, this restaurant serves up authentic Korean cuisine. A cozy and casual ambiance serves as the backdrop for a menu that features items like rib hot pot, bulgogi (barbecued beef) and a variety of soups.
