October 2009 — "Cochrane Peking House is a little place in a strip mall on the North side of Cochrane. It seats perhaps 45 people all in booths. My husband and I went there with another couple for dinner. Inside it is decorated very sparsely with pastel walls and large windows. The waitress gave us menus and took our drink orders; a round of beers and an iced tea for me. She was very friendly. It was a Sunday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant, though some takeout orders were being picked up. We decided to order the dinner for four which was soup, fried rice and a choice of four entree selections. We ordered fried squid, beef and broccoli, ginger beef and lemon chicken. The waitress brought our drinks right away, along with our wonton soup. Our main dishes took about 10 minutes to arrive. Since there were only four of us, it was very easy to dish up our dinners from the large plates the food came on. Our food was very good and there was so much that we each took leftovers for lunch the next day. We opted out of dessert as the meal portions were quite large. Our bill was $39.24 each couple including tip. Overall, the menu selection, food quality and presentation were very good. We would return to Cochrane Peking House next time we are passing through Cochrane. "
