March 2012 — "Located on the first level of Dragon City Mall in Chinatown, Rainow Bakery does not look like much of a bakery due to its small size and lack of decor but it has some delicious Chinese style baked treats. It offers a much needed break from the usual baked fare you get at the local Tim Hortons or Safeway. There are many baked goods you really can't find anywhere else in the city. Treats such as miniature baked chicken, beef, or curry pies are delicious and also fill you right up. There are also the small egg tarts which is traditionally served as a dessert at dim sum restaurants. All of the items are very well priced ranging typically around a dollar or two. There is no seating at this bakery so you can get your treats in a paper bag or boxed up to take home or just eat it while strolling through Chinatown. If you visit at the end of the day there's typically a big discount to sell off their inventory to make room for a new batch the next day."

September 2009 — "Rainbow Bakery is located inside the Dragon City mall in Chinatown. This little bakery is easy to miss, especially if you just walk by and think that it might be too small to have anything good. This would be a mistake. The bakery has many good fresh items, from buns to tarts to cakes. They have great fruit tarts, some covered with a thin layer of chocolate that makes a perfect dessert. They also have a selection of other types of sweets that make a good dessert. Or you can buy the bakery items, which include different types of buns and egg tarts that make a good snack or breakfast. Their cakes are available for custom order and they have many different flavors (fruit, chestnut, red bean, etc). I would highly recommend this bakery if you are in the area or looking for a good Chinese style cake for a special occasion."
