September 2009 — "The owner of the restaurant seated us and explained that they had only been open for a few weeks and would like to get our feedback on the food and service. She was apologetic because the waiter we had didn't speak very good English but he was trying. He forgot to bring our water but the owner was watching closely and was showing him the ropes. The menu was varied and not knowing Vietnamese food well, my friend had to explain to me what to expect. Being from Singapore she was able to answer all my questions although the owner was close by and would have been available as well. I decided to stick to the Thai dishes that I knew and had a noodle bowl with beef. My friend had the assorted beef noodle bowl which turned out to include tripe - something I don't think I am quite ready for. The soup was very tasty and I very much enjoyed the meal. The bowl was quite large and I didn't finish it all. This is a small neighbourhood restaurant which I am sure will do well."
