"They Make a Great Burger"

October 2010 — "The Riverbend Station is a place I like to go for a cold beer and a great dinner. The Station is usually fairly busy, but it’s quite large and you can always find a comfortable place to sit. There are lots of TV’s scattered around the room, so no matter which direction you are sitting, you’ll be able to catch the game. The food is amazing. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Prime Rib burger and a poutine. The burger was fresh and juicy, and had great seasoning. It comes topped with everything and I had a hard time fitting the entire burger in my mouth. The poutine was huge, with fresh fries, real cheese curds and homemade gravy. The prices are reasonable, around what you would expect to pay at any pub. But you get a lot of bang for your buck. The service is great and the waitresses are always really friendly. I go to the Riverbend Station a lot, and I think you should too."

March 2010 — "I wound up at the Riverbend Station Pub for the first time when a friend suggested we meet there for dinner. I expected a typical neighbourhood pub, and my expectations were exceeded. It was very clean and nicely put together with all of the expected charm of a neighbourhood pub. Our drinks order was taken fairly quickly and I perused a menu full of traditional pub fare. We decided to share a selection of starters: mozza sticks, warm spinach dip and hot wings. The mozza sticks were very standard. It's just breaded, deep-fried cheese - nothing really to write home about. The spinach dip was really good and was served with nacho chips as well as pita wedges for dipping, but I was very disappointed when I picked up a pita wedge and it was hard as a rock. The pita wedges didn't exactly taste baked, more just stale. I would have preferred soft pita or just nacho chips. The pita wedges were too thick and I felt like I was going to break a tooth. They serve good wings there, and I expect they serve a lot of them! I would definitely go back for wings, and will plan a repeat visit to the Riverbend Station Pub."

March 2010 - I have been to the station a number of times, good service. However, I find the drinks and food overpriced. They have a steak sandwich special but it only runs until 2 PM. They would do much better extending it for the after work crowd. It is also very noisy, hard to converse with friends when they have the music up so loud. I am not opposed to loud music just not in a pub. Their music just sounds distorted and annoying. Would do much better lowering prices, and lowering music. My business now goes down the street where we can actually have a conversation with our friends and unwind after work without having to yell across the table. "

"Great Pub Grub"Nicole
September 2009 — "The Riverbend Station is my new favourite place in town for a cold beer and some good old fashioned pub grub. The Station is quite large but quartered off into smaller sections with a number of booths and fireplaces giving the pub a very warm and homey feeling. Decorated with a railway theme, there are a number of old photographs and railway signs to occupy the eye, or if you prefer, a flat screen TV in every corner featuring the sport network's latest. The beer is cold and the grub absolutely amazing. I ordered what I thought was your average chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon, but couldn't have been happier with the freshness and care that was put into my meal. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the bacon crisp, and even the tomato had great flavour which can be hard to find these days. The gravy on my fries was homemade and the portion was huge. Their prices are reasonable, and the service while a little slow at the start was great as soon as the waitress realized we were there. I will definitely be back. I hear they also have great wings."
