May 2011 — "Upon entering Anju, housed within an old house, I was surprised at how contemporary the décor and furnishing. This is not your traditional Korean restaurant.
After cancelling a previous reservation, we were pleased they took care of the mishap. A staple Korean main dish is the stone bowl with rice, a main meat and other fixings with a egg cracked on top. This bowl was flavourful without being overwhelmingly spicy.
Appetizer portions at Anju are miniscule. The lamp chop came solo on the dish. Be sure to try their yam fries; you will be pleasantly surprised. These finely cut truffled sweet potatoes were accompanied by a gochugaru aioli dipping sauce, which is an entire level above any mayo or ketchup typically found with yam fries at other places.
It is Korean fusion in small portions.
An unique adventure that should definitely be checked out at least once.

February 2011 — "I think I may have found my new favorite Korean fusion place to eat, if you are not overly hungry but want something out of the ordinary and experience a mouthful of exquisite flavors and textures. I know, what a loaded sentence. I was super impressed by the menu selection and the things that I swear, no one offers in combination's. Anju was recommended to me by a friend and as our first time trying everything out, I think we ordered about 5 dishes plus dessert for 3 people to share. It was just right, meaning that the dishes were pretty small, but super savory. The food may not be large in quantity, but it's large in quality and flavor. On our table that night was some braised oxtail ravioli with some shaved cheese on top (excellent touch), pork belly tacos, calamari, chicken wings, and for dessert, a delicious black sesame creme brulee (mind you a little sweeter than I like it, but very yummy). As I walked up to the restaurant, I was immediately intrigued because it looked like a house, but a really stylish house that was apparently a restaurant as well. When you walk in, you feel that the layout and the setting has a presence. Definitely very nice for any occasion. I definitely plan on making another trip to try the rest of their menu, though it looks like it does change quite often, ensuring variety and surprises.

March 2010 — "I went for lunch at this place at the suggestion of my friend, who is a chef, so I knew it would probably be pretty good. I wasn't disappointed -- the meal was fresh, flavorful and overall really great. I was a little hesitant when I looked at the menu, as it seemed really limited and I like having lots of choice. But my friend recommended the lunch special and we shared a few appetizers with it. It was really good.
The ambiance is also quite impressive -- very clean and crisp, but still with a bit of unique charm. They add a bunch of nice little touches to their food -- cranberries in the water, nice presentation of dishes, etc.
My only complaint would be that the service was pretty awful -- the place was pretty much empty, but it took 20 minutes for the waitress to take order. It was also a bit on the expensive side, but the quality of food made up for that. "

August 2009 — "Delicious, innovative food and drinks at very reasonable prices seem hard to come by in this city sometimes, so Anju was a really great surprise.
Ordered a couple of martinis (one made with aloe juice), an order of calamari and a the house special Anju combo platter for appetizers. Had every intention of ordering mains, but the starters were so filling, we didn't have room! The calamari plate was amazing - spicy, tender and with a lemony dip. For the anju platter, you can choose your own combination of items from a large list - narrowing it down to seafood pancake, crispy tofu and truffled yam fries was very difficult! Did I mention it was only $12?
Dessert was great too - I did save room for that! The pear tart with vanilla ice cream was so delicious, and beautifully prepared, with little gold flakes on top. I can't wait to go back for their mango spring roll dessert, and I will save room for a main course this time!"
