August 2009 — "While in Sylvan Lake, we decided to stop into a pub for some drinks and appetizers. We decided on Chef Franciso’s as they have a great rooftop patio. The patio is small, but has a great view of the lake and the patio receives lots of sun. Overall, the establishment is quite dingy and dirty. The carpets were dirty, and the bathroom was really unkempt. The whole place could use a good scrubbing. Understandably being a restaurant right by the beach, people are going to track in a lot of sand, but they certainly could use an upgrade in housekeeping. We made our way up to the patio and chose a table. The service was quite good and we received our drinks and food really quickly. We ordered the Mexi Fries and the Seafood mushrooms off the menu. Our food came out hot and quick. I was surprised at how good the food was. The portions were good, and the Mexi Fries were heaping with ground beef, sour cream, peppers, tomatoes and cheese. While the cleanliness of the establishment is defiantly lacking, it is a great place to go to in your bikini top and flip flops for a casual drink and meal. "
