May 2011 — "I wasn't expecting much when I walked into this place but it was crowded by teens over a high school lunch hour. So that was a good sign I guess. It was also owned and ran by an ethnic group quite different than the one where donairs come from so I wasn't expecting a genuine recipe. I was on a trial vegetarian diet so I decided to go with the falafel donair. It came with a choice of tomato, black olives, hot peppers, jalapenos, iceberg lettuce which is the cheapest and arguably the most non-nutritious vegetable on the market. For me what brought this whole dish together was the garlic sauce. It was amazing and complemented the moist falafel perfectly. So I learned to never judge a book by its cover. The falafel was prepared in the back room and I would have preferred to see it prepared before my eyes. Of what I could see behind the counter, it wasn't the cleanest prep area. I sat down to eat and couldn't help but over-hear the latest high school gossip. It gave me that nostalgic feeling. "
