December 2011 — "I've always steered clear of this bar because it seemed a bit dodgy, but I recently went there for a Christmas celebration and I was really impressed with how it's changed. They've completely renovated it and took it from a bit of a dive to a sleek, modern interior with lots of stone and hardwood detailing. But they still offer good drink prices -- pitchers and wings were both on sale when I was there. The wings were pretty good -- not monstrous like you'd find at some other wing places, but I like that. I had hot wings and salt and pepper wings and both were really tasty and a very good deal. They don't have a huge selection of drinks -- mostly just the usual domestic beers and the usual wine and highballs. The service was very prompt and friendly. It can get quite busy, surprisingly, so it was hard to find a table at first but it's quite large inside so we eventually secured one. "

"Wing Night Almost Everyday"

November 2011 — "This was the first time I tried this pub. It is a rather large establishment with 3 unique sections and styles. There is a classic pub style, classy contemporary section, and a games section with pool and arcades. The service was great, being she was she was the only server working on the Saturday afternoon. The appetizers came quick and hot and were very inexpensive, a lot like the rest of the menu. And for those whom love their wings, the have wings everyday of the week with varying prices, about 10 - 35 cents at the most."

"Sports Bar"

September 2009 — "My friends and I are ended up at this sports bar type joint for a round of wings and drinks. We’ve been here before but haven’t been in a while. I’m not sure if it’s been that long but the wings don’t seem to be as good as they used to be. Maybe I’ve been exposed to better wings. We ordered the standard flavors, salt and pepper, hot, etc. for 25cents a wing and the classic basket of fries. They weren’t as fresh as I was hoping as it seemed quite busy and you’d assume that the wings would be hotter. The service was decent, they are efficient and get the job done. The place itself is nothing special to speak of. It’s like a pub I guess. All in all, it’s an okay place to get a decently priced meal but nothing special to speak of. I’m sure we’ll end up here again one day but it won’t be my first choice."

"Pretty Decent Chicken Wings"

August 2009 — "Every neighbor should have a dive bar of sorts and if you live in inner-city Calgary you have probably been to Juliet’s Castle before. If your looking for some cheap wings, cold beer and the flames game on the television, then look no further. As you walk in, the place is not much to look at. To left you will see a few pool tables and a couple of foosball tables, a good way to kill some time before the game starts. Once you’ve had enough, you can seat yourself in the lounge/dining area. I’ve never ordered anything else off the menu, as we almost always come here just for the wings. At 25 cents per wing, you cant really complain. We ordered a bunch of various flavors like hot, teriyaki, salt and pepper and honey garlic. The wings itself were freshly made, but many times are slightly over cooked. They are not as juicy as I would normally like, but is on par with the wings you would expect to eat at any local bar on a wing night. Keep in mind that there is a minimum drink order, which is not a problem if your drinking anyway. For the non drinkers, you will need to order some soda. Service is hit and miss, you need to tell the waitress what you want from the start as you probably wont see her again till the end. But like I said, for what it is, it’s a decent place to go for some wings."

"Dirty, Dingy, Home."

June 2009 — "I've been going to this neighborhood sports bar on 16th ave and Edmonton Trail for so long, it's gradual degradation into a dingy-dive went mostly unnoticed until I took a Juliet's Caste neophyte there a little while ago. Don't get me wrong, I like the place. It's got everything I look for in a neighborhood pub; pool tables, fooseball, chicken wings and cheap steak sandwiches. It's just not a place I would take a date to. Speaking of wings and steak sandwiches... ...that's exactly what I ordered the last time I was here. The steak sandwich was delivered to me with a fresh stack of french fries. The steak itself was a little under-cooked to my liking, but I didn't complain. The wings were probably a little over-cooked, but I prefer them like that so it was all good. One of my friends tried the "suicide" wings, and based on the look of his face after he took a bite, I think it's safe to say they are hotter than one might want to try. The service here is respectable if no longer as friendly as it once was, but our drinks and food were served in a timely manner. Basically, don't come here if you're looking for a nice night out. Come here if you want a cheap meal and a place to play pool and watch the game."
