December 2009 — "We venture into the Thai Boat quite frequently now. We have enjoyed many great dishes here and the servers are constantly circling the tables serving you new water. My fav dish is #59. A lot of people said in reviews that they found the servings too small. We find they are perfect, but you can always add a side of rice to any main. The cost is really good. Their dishes taste fresh and are always nice and hot..their service is quick, and no it's not furnished with comfy cosy furnishings, but you are not paying $20 a plate either. We have no complaints about Calgary's Thai Boat. We love it and would reccomend it to anyone."

July 2009 — "When a friend came down to Calgary and the food of choice was Thai, we decided on trying out Thai Boat, in the northeast. Walking in, it looked pretty authentic and you could smell the aroma of Thai food. Everything looked pretty good and we were ready to sit down and eat. We ordered a little of everything, some coconut rice, chicken, beef dishes and noodles. As we were waiting, we got hungrier but I must say, even when we left, we were no fuller than when we entered the place. Yes, the food was good, but it was expensive, and the dishes were not big enough at all. It was disappointing because for 6 people, each of us ordering a dish, we couldn’t share the dishes and eat ourselves. Afterwords, we still had to make a stop at a burger joint to settle our stomachs. I would definitely ward off from this place if you are going to feed your hunger. "

July 2009 — "I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place but decided to try it out with my boyfriend on a Friday evening. The restaurant was quite busy with people when we arrived so that was a good sign. We ordered the tom yum koong soup to start and shared a green curry chicken, a noodle dish (pad sarm sa-hai) and coconut rice. I was very satisfied with the soup. It came out in a reasonable time and was hot and delicious. The main courses were also tasty and on par with other thai restaurants. The food was relatively cheap (around $33 plus tip for the two of us). The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was nicely decorated. The service was generally quite fast and the servers came around to pour water often. I wouldn’t say this is the best Thai restaurant but it offers good value and good quality food. I would highly recommend it."

June 2009 — "My best friend and I went to Thai Boat so we could catch up over some authentic Thai food. The place is nicely decorated and the servers seemed nice enough. Seeing as this was only her second time having this, we weren't too daring and ordered the Pad Thai along with some hot curry chicken dish on rice. The servings were a little on the small side but it worked out okay with just the two of us there. It was pretty empty in there so it was quiet and allowed us to chat and enjoy the food. They gave us the option as to how hot we wanted it which worked out well since we both don't handle hot well. I think the price came out to approximately $35 total for the both of us so not too bad considering that we got several dishes and could sample a lot of things. I can't say that I was extremely full after it though. I may go back some day but I think I'll try some other places out too for comparison.."

Situated just off Barlow Trail in Calgary's northeast, Thai Boat has a menu of a la carte Thai dishes or combo deals. Pad Thai, coconut rice, deep fried banana are some of the classics to choose from.
