June 2009 — "Zuppa Café is a cute little place in downtown Edmonton with a great menu of fresh, homemade items. They aren’t open in the evenings and it’s always busy over lunch, but it is definitely worth making the effort to get there. They’re even open at 7:00am and have a nice breakfast menu. There’s a cute little patio that basically doubles their seating, or you can take your order to go. The Legislature Building is right across the street and has plenty of space to picnic. I’ve always had the chicken caesar wrap, which they’ll grill up for you. The serving is huge and comes with a side of salad at no charge. They also have a great selection of organic coffee and tea. And you must finish off your visit with a dessert, which are also homemade. Unfortunately, they only accept cash so you had better hope you have generous colleagues if you get caught with an empty wallet."

Breakfast, served until 10:30am, features things like omelettes, grilled sandwiches, granola and waffles. They also offer catering platters for pick up only.
