April 2009 — "The Trappers Bar is in Sunshine Village, which is at the top of the main gondola lift for skiers and snowboarders. In this area there is a lodge like building and the smaller option of the Trappers. We were at Sunshine at the end of April, but it was cold, so cold that we decided we needed some food and hot drinks in preference to snowboarding and skiing, this of course never normally happens to us! Inside the bar was busy but it was easy enough to find a table for four and the wait staff were over immediately offering menus and drinks. I ordered a hot apple cider and a platter of chili cheese with tortilla chips. It was really tasty and accompanied by salsa and sour cream. After I had eaten all the chips I still had some chili left and the waitress was happy to bring me more chips, which was excellent. The bathrooms were in the basement and pretty basic but this is often the case at ski hills. This bar had good atmosphere and I would stop there again during a visit to Sunshine."
