January 2010 — "I have ordered take-out from this place a couple of times now, and its really not that bad. As long as you can get past the horrible location, unkempt kitchen, and odd customer service you'll like this place. It is a quick and inexpensive option when your craving some Indian cuisine. The dishes are actually pretty authentic tasting, which I find to be a rare treat in this town. Not that I am any sort of expert in authentic Indian cuisine, it's just that the Victoria dinning scene is seriously lacking in the Indian restaurant category. That being the case, I would actually recommend KuKus to anybody looking for some Indian take-out, but be warned, this is a take-out only situation, there is no seating. Also, keep in mind that the kitchen is located way out on Burnside, so if your picking up, it's gonna be a long ride. But in the end, I must admit that Kuku's butter chicken and pakoras are totally worth the trek."

August 2009 — "Tonight we ordered take out and enjoyed some East Indian food. They had told us it would take 45 minutes to deliver but it came quicker than that and it was only about 25 minutes which was a nice treat.
I liked the fact that when ordering the person taking the order reconfirmed with me what we had actually ordered.
When it arrived the delivery person was very friendly and the food was hot.
The food itself met our expectations and was quite delicious. Great food for quick take out and the prices are reasonable as well.
The only disappointment was the seeds(spice) in the steamed rice which my husband couldn't eat. He was expecting a plain steamed rice. No mention of the spice is on the menu but the chili chicken and curry chicken made up for the spicy rice.
I would definately recommend this business to my friends because the food was fast, well priced, tasty and hot.

May 2009 — "Choices for take-out dining can be limited, so when I heard that Kuku's Catering was now offering delivery of their Indian cuisine - we couldn't resist trying it.
Placing our order was a little frustrating. Staff repeatedly put me on hold indefinitely on several occasions, whereupon a new clerk would come on the line necessitating repetition of my entire order and address. Once this ordeal was past, everything else went smoothly.
The food arrived quickly. We had ordered a large Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi (dal with cauliflower & potato), Baingan Bharta (pureed eggplant & peas), and rice & naan. Portions were generous and the food was hot.
The butter chicken is made with Tandoori chicken, so it was not what we were used to but the taste was fantastic. We enjoyed the dal as well, but found the bharta not to our taste.
Our bill came to $36.48, a fair price for some delicious Indian cuisine delivered right to our door. "
