February 2010 — "I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but since I work in the area, it is a great lunch option. The location is convenient, the prices are low ($3.50 for a sub!) and service is always fast. There are a few small tables and a bit of counter seating, but take-out is the way to go here. I like their vermicelli dishes, especially the pork and spring rolls for $6. Portion sizes are smaller than other places - a styrofoam clam shell, instead of the extra large ones you often get at other places - but I have never been hungry after a meal. I do agree with the other review about speaking clearly when you place your order though. Although friendly, staff seem to have trouble answering questions or understanding requests."

May 2009 — "These subs are amazing! They are priced right and taste so good! I no longer work downtown, but make an effort to stop into this place for a quick take-out lunch when I can. They do have a very small sitting area, but I have never used it. It is a perfect lunch to take away and bring to the river or a park to eat (or even at your desk at work). The staff is not great with understanding complex orders (english not a first language), but as long as you try to keep to the menu and standard options, you'll get what you want. They now have a hot menu too, I have triedthe springrolls, they were good. Really, though go for the subs!"

Sate Sub specializes in Vietnamese sub sandwiches, which are comprised of baquette rolls filled with a choice of toppings. Filling options at Sate Sub include sate tofu, chicken and beef. Cilantro, pickled carrot and hot peppers are also optional. Seating is limited as they focus mainly on take-out orders.
