May 2009 — "Situated on the second floor of the stately club house, the golf course restaurant deserves to be advertised with a more exotic name than just being 'the golf course restaurant'. Except for the lack of access for people who are not able to use the stairs, this facility has everything one would want. The bright clean atmosphere is enhanced with windows on three sides, providing a panoramic view of the course, without being too close to the golfers. In fact, we saw a small deer peeking from the bushes as it watched a golfer on the practice green. We were greeted with a smile by the server who was efficient and pleasant throughout our meal. My choice was veal cutlet with fries. This was garnished with fresh vegetables. The fries were very hot and not at all greasy. My dining companions also reported their pleasure with the chicken caesar salad, BLT, and turkey sandwich special. This turkey special was disappointing in that it was not fresh turkey but sliced deli, but for the price of $6.95, the diner was not unhappy .The menu has a good variety of choices which should please most diners. This establishment offers a Friday fish special, and Sunday dinner prime rib. The licensed chef, while new to this location, is a local person with a good reputation, and deserves our support to continue this fine business."
