October 2011 — "If you are looking for a delectable menu, a fantastic list of draft beers, fabulous daily specials, huge martini menu, try the Westcoast Tap House. This gem is located in the Sheraton Hotel in Langford, right beside the Costco. Its out of the way, but worth the trip. We decided after a morning of shopping we could use a wonderful late lunch. The Tap House is on the bottom floor of the hotel, a large split level bar with beautiful decor, high tables and comfortable booths, and many flat screen TV's strategically positioned throughout the bar. We seated ourselves at a sunny booth and were quickly greeted by our server, with menu's. She brought waters instantly while we perused the drink menu, as well as the lunch fare. There were so many incredible menu items that were described in such detail, you wanted to order everything! I chose the Westcoast Salad; salmon, prawns, a king crab leg, over mixed local greens, cherry tomatoes in a citrus vinigarette. My husband was extremely hungry and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs; noted in the menu as Wayne Gretzsky's dad's favourite. Our beer arrived, and we enjoyed a casual conversation. It is noted in the menu, everything is made fresh, so it takes a reasonable length of time. We didn't wait more than 25 minutes, which was not unreasonable. My salad was delicious. They did substitute my king crab leg for dungenus crab, which had been overcooked, the salad seemed a little limp, but overall it was very good. My husband enjoyed his two gigantic meatballs and spagetti, but felt my homemade spaghetti was better. I have a knack for making exceptional italian food. I would recommend this pub for a good lunch and great dinner, and very good alcohol specials"

"New Tap House in Victoria"deb
April 2009 — "The Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Langford, Victoria is a new hotel in the city so the tap house is not well known. We did not have any idea what to expect as not one person we asked about it had been there. It was a little hard to find up behind a large Costco store. Parking was difficult as well with limited stalls in front of the pub. There was more parking for the hotel but it was difficult to tell if you could get to the pub from the far end of the building where the hotel parking is located. After being in the hotel, I noted that you can get from the lobby to the pub quite easily. The tap house is a fair size with lots of booth seating. There is a pool table at the far end of the pub and the bar is situated right in the middle of the room. We were there on a Friday night and it was very busy. There were four of us and we did have to wait a few minutes for a table to come up. I had a steak sandwich as did one of my friends. The couple we were with had burgers. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked just the way I like it. My friend's steak was overcooked but he said it was still good. The burgers looked great, big portions. My friends said they would order them again. On a Friday night the pub was very busy and not a good place to visit. We ended up leaving after our meals. I found the prices to be a little higher than I would have expected and didn't find the quality of the food justified the price. I might go back again with a group for a beer but I don't know that I would go back there for dinner unless we were in the area for some other reason. "

DescriptionLocated just off the Trans Canada highway in Langford, the West Coast Tap House features west coast regional cuisine. It is situated within the Four Points Sheraton and has an upscale atmosphere. From a raspberry vodka chipotle bbq combo to cashew crusted pesto halibut, menu offerings are sophisticated. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
