March 2009 — "The Waterwheel Pub is located near downtown Langford in Victoria, BC. It is not hard to find and does indeed have a waterwheel outside the main entrance. It is a country-style wooden building with big wide stairs to the front door with a walkway over the pond that feeds the waterwheel. Inside is the classic old fashioned pub. It is big, wide open with heavy wooden tables. It is a large place and when we were there it was a little early for dinner so it wasn't very busy. The service was excellent and in fact the waitress had a great sense of humor. We were really only into trying out an assortment of appetizers so she helped us pick out a few that she said were favorites. We had potato skins, teriyaki chicken wings and a small plate of nachos. The food was predictably good with tons of sour cream on the side. I would say that this is not the place to go if you are counting your points or calories. The portions were large and we were quite satisfied by the time we were finished. The prices were average. I would recommend this as a place to go if you are wanting no surprises, dependable food and a lay-back atmosphere. "
