June 2010 — "This was my second time ever doing an afternoon tea and it was soooo good! The first time was not very good to compare with though. First we made reservations at the front desk near the entrance. They recommend making reservations during the summer because it can get crowded. When we got there, we seated right away. We sat in the back in a garden like setting, almost like an atrium with glass ceilings. The first thing we got was like a white cream pudding with fruit, and that was a fantastic start! The we got the 4 tier tray with the finger sandwiches and pastries. I was stuffed by the end and very very satisfied. It definitely added to the Butchart Garden experience. I highly recommend it as an afternoon lunch break after you've been walking around for hours."

Today, The Dining Room serves an Afternoon Tea daily, and includes tradtional savoury and sweet treats. The restaurant is open for lunch, with a menu that changes with the seasons to serve local, fresh foods. Dinner is available from June 15-Sept 15, and from Dec 1-Jan 6.
