July 2010 — "This is everything that you are hoping it is going to be, I would maybe even go as far as saying it is more!
My wife loves this place, and I was raving about it before I had even been! It certainly lived up to my expectations, leaving you wanting to go back as much as possible. They now have two locations, the original is on Cook St and the new one is on Bridge St.
The Bridge st location is the only one I have been to, and it is decorated with a very open feel, large chef's tables and a great atmosphere.
The pizza is fantastic. They all have great fresh ingredients, and are not over loaded like most pizza places are. I truly believe this is what pizza is supposed to be like; light, few quality ingredients and big flavors. It obviously doesn't hurt that they are fire roasted in a large wood burning oven either...
This is a must, no questions asked."

June 2010 — "Around the corner from my office is a new pizza place called ‘Pizzaria Primastrada’ it just recently opened up, and I have already been there 3 times! I love the pizza here, the personal size fills a full size plate and is perfect for one person. All the flavours are amazing; they have fresh beautifully Italian ingredients, including proscuitto, capicollo, anchovies, artichokes, basil, mushrooms, garlic, mozza, ricotta etc etc… it is delicious! The olive oil is decadent, it is real real Italian olive oil, and the taste is not comparable to what you buy in the store here, I love it! The dough is hand made, and baked in a wood stove. It comes out soft, yet chewy and not heavy at all. It is like no other crust that I have had on a pizza before. The atmosphere is great, there are BIG tables throughout the restaurant where 3 -5 different groups can sit at the same time, or reserve one for a large group. The drinks are good, they have different wine and beer which look so appetizing, but I have not yet tried because I have only been for lunch… the prices are very reasonable, mostly about 10-12$ for a pizza and a non alcoholic beverage. I am very pleased that this pizzeria opened up so close to my work! Maybe I will even go today!"

March 2010 — "Oh wow. A pizza craving sent me to this Cook Street Pizzeria, and I had no idea what I was in for. My Margherita pizza was divine, and my husband raved about the fennel sausage on his. Because of his dairy allergy, he ordered his without cheese, which they found neither strange, nor inconvenient.
In fact, it inspired our server to offer a sample of their Water Buffalo mozzarella. Yep, water buffalo; the only ones in Canada, he says. I would be lying if I said it wasn't remarkably different from any other mozzarella I've had before.
Traditional Neapolitan pizza is quite thin crusted, and cooked in a traditional wood burning oven. The tomato sauce is pure; just tomatoes and salt!
This is a truly one of a kind pizza experience, not to be missed."

April 2009 — "Pizzeria Prima Strada is located in the heart of Cook Street Village. There are lots of seats and some booths. The wood burning oven is impressive and beautiful and most nights, the place is packed and smells delicious walking by it!
On one of these walks, we decided to grab some lunch and check out the new pizza in town. The waiter was friendly and patient as we looked through the menu. We asked him what he recommended and he pointed out a couple pizzas. We picked the Salsiccia Piccante. This pizza is very simple without a lot of ingredients but amazing and very fresh tasting! They try to purchase the produce locally as much as they can and the milk for the cheese comes from the buffalo’s here on our island. It’s the sausage that made the pizza and it was perfect. They also make this sausage themselves and it had a wonderful flavor!
The pizzas only come in one size (looks like it’s between a medium and a large) and they range from $11-$16. I’m hoping a smaller size to go becomes an option in the near future! Ours was $14.5 and was extremely satisfying. I would recommend this restaurant for a more upscale and authentic pizza to enjoy!

Situated in Cook Street Village, this classic pizzeria cooks their pizzas in a traditional wood-fired oven. Pizzas are made with thin crusts and come with authentic Italian ingredients, like plum tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. They are open for lunch and dinner.
