November 2011 — "Having found the Beagle Pub this summer, it was definitely worth a second trip, and did not disappoint. Located in the lovely Cook St. Village, the Beagle is a calm, cool pub to hangout and easily pass the time. The beef dip had the right texture, taste and bread to make it easy to gobble up quickly. The service was friendly, and I expect this will become a place I hang out and recommend to friends whenever they ask."

June 2010 — "You can't beat the location of this pub; right in the heart of Cook St village. Location is what brought us there initially. I had the Quinoa and Spinach salad with goat cheese, and my husband had the ribs. The menu looked pretty typical until I saw the quinoa, and jumped at the chance to eat this underused complete-protein, even though I don't ordinarily go for salads. It was very tasty; the apple-fig vinaigrette was delicious, but I would have loved more of it. The spinach was very fresh (not always a given in a pub environment). What really set this pub apart was this: during our meal, when my husband and I were eating, his beer glass exploded. It just popped; we weren't anywhere near it, it just went! It was amazing! Luckily neither of us were hurt. Our server was extremely apologetic, and even though I couldn't see any glass shards on my plate and we were both nearly finished eating, she insisted on serving us replacement meals. It was incredibly thoughtful, not to mention the safest thing to do. Couldn't have been handled better; so thank you!"
