July 2009 — "The sign advertising Marble Arch fish and chips reminded me of days when living in London so a rather spontaneous decision was made to drop by and check out their fish and chips. Marble Arch is in a little strip mall called Burnside Plaza across the way from the larger and fancier looking Tillicum Mall. There is seating inside the restaurant and also offer a take away menu so we decided to go that route. Apart from fish and chips, they also offer Chinese food but we went with the take away fish and chips. They only had two types of fish, halibut and cod, and you had to order the chips separately. We chose the cod at $4.50 a piece and ordered the chips. One order of chips is large enough for two people to share so don’t make our mistake and get three orders of chips for three people. The food was just okay, it tasted good while eating it but it was a ‘heavy’ meal as the batter seemed to be quite doughy. So not the best and my search for the best fish and chips continues."
