March 2009 — "We were particularly looking for the famous blue roof for our lunch on our trip recently through Washington State. We found what we were looking for just north of Everett in the town of Marysville. Its located just off the highway in a strip mall. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated right away. With their long and varied menu we did have trouble deciding what to order but once we decided our orders came pretty quick to our table. They have new items for a healthier meal and their Balsamic glazed chicken breast was delicious with sauteed mushrooms and fresh tomatoes to finish it off. My dining partner had the original pancakes that comes with crispy bacon or sausages. The yummy orange juice tasted like it was freshly squeezed that morning. As their saying goes, we came there hungry and left happy and content to carry on with our trip."

March 2009 — "Oh how I would love to again live within a hundred miles of a pancake house. Because I don't, I take full advantage of my opportunities. This outlet of the International House of Pancakes was spotted in Marysville, Washington , while driving up the I5 interstate. This IHOP is surrounded by other box stores, allowing you to do some shopping to walk off those carbs.
My dining partners were sold on the +55 seniors menu: smaller portions for smaller prices.
I was tempted by the create-a-face pancake but I was pretty sure I couldn't pull off the order with no kids at our table. Instead, I hunted out a new item on the menu: butterscotch rocks pancakes. My meal (which was actually more like dessert) consisted of a stack of three fluffy buttermilk pancakes covered with pecans, granola bits, butterscotch chips all in caramel sauce. Add to this a sampling of all the yummy syrups. Ahhhhhhhh!"
