December 2009 — "I could not walk past this fabulous little spot in Victoria one recent afternoon. I was in the Oak Bay area of the city looking for a bank when the sweet aromas caught my attention. The window displays were chuck full of chocolate goodies and muffins and pies. This place is very popular with the locals but I was able to snag a little table and I ordered up my lunch. The soup special of that day was ginger carrot soup. I have never tasted anything so good. It was a large portion and served up hot and with a smile from the friendly staff. Their freshly brewed specialty coffee was fantastic. I bought some muffins to go but I did not get too far before I had a taste. It was a very mouth watering bran muffin with plump raisins. I also got to taste their popular chocolate, and I now know why folks raved about it. I will be back and soon I hope. "
