March 2012 — "Dim sum is one of my favourite foods to enjoy on a lazy Sunday morning and there are quite a number of dim sum restaurants to pick from in Calgary. Regency Palace Restaurant is definitely the biggest of them all. Located on the 3rd level of Dragon City Mall which takes up about half of Chinatown it is an easy place to find. It has a huge dining area that has seen many traditional weddings in its day. While a lot of other dim sum restaurants fill up fast on a Sunday morning Regency Palace always has space for more. It is really more of a huge cafeteria than anything else. The quality of the dim sum here is about average but the great thing is you wont have to wait 20 minutes or more for a table when you're craving for some dim sum. It's a great place for those who are new to dim sum as they are one of the only places to use carts so you can have a look before you order."

"Terrific Dim Sum"

February 2009 — "Every month my friends and I love to meet up for dim sum at Regency Palace. We’ve tried other dim sum restaurants in the city, but Regency Palace is consistently good. The staff are always quick about finding us a table, placing a pot of hot green tea on the table and making sure our glasses are continually filled with cold water. As soon as you sit down the dim sum carts appear at the table, each time with a variety of different foods to choose from. There are three plates that we always include in our selection, which are shrimp dumplings, sticky rice and the deep fried shrimp. All three of those dishes are so good! For dessert our favourite plate is the cream buns. Not only is Regency Palace’s dim sum good, but it’s also cheap. Last time for four people our total bill worked out to $44. So when you think about it, $11 each for a lunch out in a sit down restaurant is a pretty good deal. "
