November 2010 — "We visit the Lisa's and their amazing staff every weekend, they are friendly know us by name and are very accommodating when I change my meal to a vegetarian version! the food is always amazing and the environment is relaxed and easy going...no rush to get out..no line up to get in...just another reason Esquimalt is the nest neighborhood on earth!"

February 2009 — "The Sunnyside Café is a great little place for breakfast and lunch. It is situated on Esquimalt Road quite close to the municipal offices and has a walkout basement style location. Above it is some shops and offices but as the name attests it gets the full sun so makes a great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee or meal. There are a few tables outside the restaurant and inside there is table seating as well as counter style seating running the length of the window. The restaurant has a diner feel to it and they seem to specialize in breakfasts especially the eggs benedict. I went for the traditional breakfast and it was served with bacon and sausage and that was good. There were also salads on the menu but as mentioned the eggs benedict was popular and after seeing it, I was tempted to change my order. The restaurant was popular with locals and the service was very friendly."
