February 2009 — "I recently took the 2A highway from Red Deer to Innisfail and stopped in at this restaurant to check it out. I have passed this spot many times and the parking lot is filled with cars and trucks so I figured the food must be good. Don't let the inside of the lounge put you off. It is in dire need of a renovation. The carpet is dirty and torn and the paint on the walls look like they could use a paint job but as they say... looks aren't everything. The service was fast and the menu decent. The prices are excellent for what is served. I ordered the grilled chicken breast and it was delicious. I'm not sure what it was marinated in but it was melt in the mouth tender and very tasty. My friend ordered the crumbed veal and was served a large portion that she managed to finish off in no time. The lounge serves some interesting drinks like Bartenders rootbeer and some concoction with "monkey" in it that was based on banana liqueur. The waitress said even though it was a strange combination it was delicious. It was lunch time and we had a long drive ahead of us but I think I'll go back some time and give it a try. If you're hungry and not after fancy atmosphere this is a good place to stop."
