February 2009 — " The Atrium Cafe is on the main floor of the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South. The decor is very pleasant, making use of large plants and dividers to give areas a sense of privacy. It has a very pleasant atmosphere for evening dining. Since we needed to get to a medical appointment by 8:00 am., it was good to see that the breakfast buffet started at 6:30 am. There were two options- the full buffet for $14.95, or the cold breakfast for just two dollars less. I chose the full breakfast since there is so little difference in the price. The selections are many. One could chose anything from yogurt, muffins, and granola to the less healthy, but tasty bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and french toast. A good selection of juices and fruit are available. The scrambled eggs were made from scratch, and not the powdered variety that are often served today. The french toast was rather soggy so I suspect it had been made early. A good hearty bowl of oatmeal porridge is often a start to my meal, but this was not appealing at all. It was very watery and so did not get a 'taste test'. Our server was prompt with the coffee, and wanted to make sure we were happy with the buffet. It was reasonably busy in the cafe, and I would suspect that many of the clientele are from the adjoining office tower."
