June 2011 — "We went to Red Deer on a Sunday morning to meet a friend for breakfast. We pulled up to the Humpty's, and I was excited to eat there as the whole restaurant is done up in old 50's diner style! There are old fashioned chairs and booths, and a juke box etc. The decor is very neat, easily making it the coolest Humpty's I have ever seen! However, the food was very mediocre and the service was terrible. Our server didn't seem to know what was going at all, and we had to ask 3 times to have water brought to our table. I ordered the eggs benedict, and it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The restaurant wasn't even busy, so I'm not sure what took so long. The girls were standing behind the counter doing nothing and we waited and waited on fresh coffee. When my food arrived, the hollandaise sauce was crusted over from sitting so long. I will NEVER go back. "

January 2009 — "Three of us seniors decided on a lunch date and found ourselves on the way to Humpty's at the south end of Red Deer in the Gasoline Alley area. This place has an interesting decor - right out of the 1950's and full of nostalgic items on the walls. There are even jukeboxes at the booths which brings back memories. Two of my friends checked over the menu and decided that they felt like egg salad sandwiches which were not actually on the menu. The waitress was very obliging and said they could make the sandwiches anyway. I had a Philly Melt on flax bread and it was delicious. The service was fast and the menu selection very good. If you're 55+ you can ask for the Humpty's senior discount card which gives you 10% off the cost of your meal. We all appreciated this. The restaurant was quite busy and I can see why - nice atmosphere and good food and service. I would definitely recommend this spot."
