June 2010 — "This was the location that we last held a meeting for an business association that I belong to, and worked well for the 18 or so attendees. They have a separate room down a few steps to the left, which served well to take us away from the rest of the restaurant, giving us some privacy. It also worked out well as the room we had connected off to the patio, which is quiet nice and shaded by lots of vegetation. This family-run restaurant gave me the feel as if there has been many late night family get togethers here!
Our waitress did a great job with the size of the group, as we always had drinks and she was organized when it came to food and bills. For dinner I ordered the lamb shoulder which is clearly a specialty and favorite. It was excellent, very tender and juicy, as well as a nice demi glaze and sides. Everything was fresh and appears as if care was taken. I will go back again, perhaps without a group!"

January 2009 — "The Olive Grove is located a bit out of the Victoria core on West Saanich Road and is a family run business. The restaurant looks small from the outside but it's actually quite large with a few different rooms. On this day, we went for dinner and sat by the fireplace. The waitress was helpful with our questions and we ordered a bottle of wine, a Mediterranean chicken dish and a grilled salmon dish. The food came quickly and had us worried. It turned out the chicken was absolutely delicious! Very flavorful, tender and there was lots of it (2 large chicken breasts). It came with some Greek salad, pita bread, and potatoes. The salmon was also perfect with some squash and salad. We were stuffed without finishing what was in our plates but wanted to try some Greek dessert so we ordered some baklava. It turned out to be the western version by adding walnuts, cinnamon, whipping cream and no pistachios. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The dishes were $15-$17 each and I had some leftovers for the next day!"
