December 2012 — "On the last day before the Christmas break we lucked out as our builder decided to treat us all to lunch, drinks and pool at the near by pub.
There were 10 of us in total and we were thirsty, hungry and dirty from building houses all morning. As construction workers we sometimes get poorer service when we come into a pub after work in our work cloths. But this was not the case here!
We ordered several platters as well as several pitchers of beer and pop.
Because of the number of us, the pub let us play pool for free which was super nice and great fun.
The food came out quickly and was hot and good. Typical pub fare eats but good.
The waitress keep the beer and pop flowing the entire time.
Overall it was a great lunch and I would not hesitate to come back here with my wife in the future if we were ever passing through the Airdrie area. "

March 2009 — "I had heard so much about Dick's and thought that it might be worthy of a drive from Calgary to Airdrie. Man, was I sorely disappointed. We arrived and the place was packed. It isn't like a normal pub, it's like a warehouse..an open room with tons of tables. We had to take the only table available, which was near the stage. The server did great us promptly, which was nice and unexpected.
The menu is pretty limited, but they do offer a ton of sides like salads, pastas, fries etc. We ordered some hot honey garlic wings to start, which were good. Then I had a burger with caesar salad. When it arrived the salad was wilted and the burger wasn't anything to brag about. My wife had the quesadilla and I tried it and the chicken was dry and I really can't say anything was great about it. I've tried much better at any local pub in Calgary. She did seem to enjoy her Greek salad, but she left more than half of it on her plate.
Overall, I must say that I was disappointed with both the atmosphere and the food at Dick's. With so much hype about it, it's too bad that it failed to meet any expectations and unless I find myself in Airdrie for some strange reason I won't make the drive from Calgary again anytime soon."

December 2008 — "Yes, it had great music happening on a Saturday night. Yes, there were photos and sports jersies on the wall. But that is not what got my attention! There was a sign on the wall that said that if you had never eaten there before, you did not know Dick. The menu softened the blow by saying that now that I had eaten there, I did know Dick. The servers, all female, wore black tee-shirts emblazoned with "I like Dicks". BUT, all this is not REALLY what got my attention! I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla that came with a side. There were several choices, but I ordered the pasta side. (I think the total was about $13.) When the food arrived, I was blown away! The "side" was as big as any main course of lasagna I have ever had. The quesadilla was also very substantial. I tried to eat it all but it was impossible, and the best part was.....IT TASTED GREAT!! I blubbered to my server and she explained to me that now I knew Dick! Highly recommended!"
