January 2011 — "My wife and I stumbled upon this place by chance and I'm pretty happy we did. We stopped in for a late lunch and the pub was somewhat empty, other than what appeared to be some regulars at the bar and quite a few Saturday afternoon gamblers in the back VLT room. The service was really friendly and attentive and other than a band doing their sound test for later that night, the atmosphere was pretty good. I ordered a cheeseburger with an upgraded side of poutine. Both were really good, the burger looked like it was made fresh (no frozen patties here) and the toppings were also great, including the bun, which was kaiser style. The poutine was also pretty good, a generous sized portion, too. Overall, I'd recommend this pub for a casual drink out or for the food alone, the service was good and the prices very reasonable. "

January 2011 — "My husband and I decided to try out this pub, which is located in a strip mall, for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and I was pretty pleased with the experience overall. There had been a storm the night before, so there weren't many people other than some regulars sitting at the bar and more at the VLT's (which are situated in a private area at the back of the restaurant). Our server was very polite and took our drink orders within minutes of us sitting down in a comfy corner booth. I ordered a buffalo chicken burger with a side salad and was really pleased with it. The spiciness was perfect for me and the side salad portion was very generous. The only downfall was that a band was setting up for that evening and their sound-check was pretty annoying. Luckily, we got to hear them perform a few songs before we left and they were actually pretty good, but loud! Wouldn't want to be eating while the band was playing, wouldn't be able to have a conversation over the music. Overall, a nice, cozy pub with good food."
