December 2008 — "When we went to check out at the Holiday Inn Sainte-Pierre Montreal Aeroport we were quite hungry and found that there was a restaurant right in the hotel. Restaurant Perno is nothing special, just a typical hotel restaurant. The place was absolutely dead and we overheard the server saying there were only two tables all morning. The menu was filled with standard breakfast items like eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast, skillets, omelets and bacon and eggs. I chose the pancakes, my wife had a Western skillet and the other person in our party had the sausage and eggs special. The prices were quite high, even the special was $9. Eggs Benedict was about $14 and a skillet was around $13. I wouldn’t mind paying prices like that if the food was fresh and homemade…but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. The eggs were not real, they tasted like the kind that you can buy that come out of a carton and are liquid. The sausages and eggs were pretty much inedible. The service was quite good, but we were the only table in the restaurant. We should have waited and gone somewhere else to eat because not only do I not like being the only table in a restaurant, but I also like a really tasty breakfast and for $50 this was not it."
