August 2011 — "Wild Orchid Asian Bistro in Canmore located in Silver Tip Lodge is a great way to experience mountain style sushi. The décor is very modern, cherry wood furniture and a contemporary Asian atmosphere that compliments the beautiful mountain backdrop. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is not like a typical sushi house, it has versions of traditional sushi menu with a unique style. The prices a high, but when you’re in a tourist town and it’s hard to get fresh fish it’s to be expected. We tried a Dynamite Roll that was four large rolls with a full tempura prawn on top of the roll instead of being part of the roll, it was fantastic! We tried a crunchy salmon roll and an avocado yam roll. You certainly don’t need to order a lot as the rolls are very generous. If you are in the Canmore, Banff area and looking for a unique sushi experience, I highly recommend the Wild Orchid Asian Bistro."

January 2010 — "I tried this restaurant because some of my friends recommended me to go visit and try some great foods. when I visited the resraurant was not busy and my partner and I were guided to seats by the fire (they have a big fire in the patio). starting from Asian tapas which were crispy Calamari and home-made gyoza dumpling, we ordered some other fresh rolls as well. everything was great but especially we liked Wild Orchid Dinamite Roll which deep-fried shrimps are on top of each roll. each dish costs you around 10$, but it's worth trying everything!! yummy"
