October 2010 — "On a recent Wednesday, a friend and I wanted to go out for wings and I insisted that we try somewhere different. We were going to the airport afterward to pick up her husband, so we decided Paddy O'Leary's in Beddington would be close enough to the airport.
We got to the pub and it was quite dead. We grabbed a table and a server was with us right away. We each ordered a pint of beer and took a look at the flavours of wings offered on the menu. We decided to order some hot wings and some honey garlic wings, which arrived quickly. I thought the wings were fairly good. Maybe a bit on the small side, but not overly greasy and the flavour was definitely tasty. We enjoyed those wings and were both still a bit hungry and had some time left before we had to head to the airport so we ordered some salt & pepper wings as well.
It's an inexpensive pub and wasn't super busy so I would probably go back except the location isn't very convenient for me. But on wing nights lots of the pubs are too busy to even get seated, so I will remember Paddy O'Leary's just in case!"

March 2010 — "This pub is a little out of the way for me (ok, I live near westhills so it's probably as far as you can get) so I've only been a handful of times, but every time I've gone, I've had a great time. For me, the biggest draw is the amazing live music they have sometimes, so I hope they keep it up and pay those great bands what they're worth.
They have a great selection of food and drinks -- I've had their wings, their nachos, their Guinness ... all very tasty. The service has always been a tad slow though. The last time I was there, it was St. Patrick's Day and absolutely packed so the server came by I think once in two hours (wish I was exagerrating!) but I can understand when it's so busy. Still, they won't let you order food at the bar so when it's busy like that they should either bend the rules or hire more servers.
All the same, if you're looking for somewhere to go on St Patty's day, this is a great place -- very lively and fun. Plus they gave out free hats and novelty items ....sweet!"

September 2009 — "When doing some errands in the Beddington area, my wife and I decided to check out Paddy O'Learys since we had heard they had fairly decent food. It was a Saturday around 12:30-1pm when we arrived, and the place was pretty much empty besides the seemingly regulars seated at the bar. We chose a table near the patio entrance, as it was a nice day and the door was open. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink orders. I decided to have a burger, which was nothing too exciting, but it was edible. Throughout our dining experience our attention was brought to the bar where the regulars were sitting. The waitresses were doing shooters with them and they seemed to be having a mid-afternoon party. In fact, as the hour or so that we were there wore on, the waitress seemed to get a little "happy" and nearly tripped on the stairs. Another interesting thing about this place is that the heaters at our feet went on even though it was a warm day out and the patio doors were open. It got extremely hot and we mentioned it to the server but she said that the controls were in the manager's office and they did not have access to it. Oh well! I'm not sure if I'll go back to this pub. There are places nearer to my house that have better food!"

June 2009 — "The pub food is good. I like the Guinness beef stew.
The staff is friendly.
The music is excellent. I've seen Lark Hill on Thursday nights several times. Talented musicians! Fiddle playing is awesome!
I'll be back."

October 2008 — "Paddy O'Leary's is tucked in an out-of-the-way corner and I have usually overlooked it. It is about a block south of the vehicle trap on Centre Street, so even though I live in the area, I rarely have reason to go by. Not sure why we thought of going there last Friday, but I'm glad we did. It is so nice to walk into a pub and not have to fight for a seat, to be warmly welcomed and receive friendly, attentive service all evening. (I think I may have been living in Calgary for too long!)
There is a big selection of beers on tap - at least 20. We chose Rickard's white and Stella. Both were cold and yummy. The food was better than I expected too. We ordered calamari, pork ribs and a loaded burger. The calamari was tender and nicely spiced. The burger was thick, not overdone and covered in bacon and cheese. The pork ribs were the weak point - I was expecting meat on the bone, but they were little breaded bits. Okay - but could have been much better.
Overall, prices were reasonable, service was excellent, food was tasty and I would be happy to go back."
