October 2009 — "Was invited to a business lunch at the Tangerine Supper Club located in the Eaton Centre in Calgary. When we walked in the place was absolutely empty and we found out that the restaurant would be closing down due to major renovations that would be taking place in the Eaton Centre. No-one was informed at the time of booking that the restaurant would be closing shortly and as a result would not be fully stocked for either food or drinks. There was not one bottle of liquor to be seen on the display wall and only one choice of red or white wine. There was also no appetizers of any kind available, I was looking forward to trying the deep-fried prawns that I had heard good things about but no such luck. I did have a steak sandwich with fries which was cooked to my liking and had a nice surprise of 3 onion rings served on top. For dessert we shared a chocolate brownie with ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. I assume that the restaurant will be re-opening once the construction/renovations are completed and I would go back. "
