September 2008 — "This outlet of the Jreck Subs empire is located in Ogdensburg, across the road from the Gateway Plaza and next door to Wal-Mart. Jreck was here before the mall and the Wal-Mart yet the building has aged very well and still looks new, inside and out. A Chinese food place in the mall and the McDonald's in Wal-Mart are the only other dining options in the neighbourhood. Jreck has some interesting choices for submarine sandwiches such as the popcorn chicken sub, the cheeseburger sub and the 1/4 lb hot dog sub. Today I enjoyed a chicken stir fry sub with Swiss cheese. I turned down the offer of mayonnaise or Russian dressing. The roll was neither white nor whole wheat bread but some speckled third option. The specks may have been spinach. To the sandwich, I added an order of yummy broccoli bites: deep fried, cheese covered vegetables that will stay warm long after your sandwich is done. Eat your sandwich first and then enjoy some more hot food. "
