August 2008 — "Just beyond Montreal and while fighting against the directions of my GPS carrying navigator, my car found itself in suburban Boucherville, Quebec. The three of us had survived the bumper-to-bumper crossing of the island of Montreal and we now set out to dine on terra firma. Oh look, there’s a St-Hubert restaurant (500 Albanel). We had chicken dinners all round. We knew what to expect. We got what we wanted. And we could enjoy in either language. This stop for chicken was the first time that we had shared a meal, ever. We got comfortable with each other, the food was good and service was great. This was a good sign that things would go smoothly now that we were well in to our three thousand kilometres of adventure. By the way, thanks to our very helpful server, we learned that I had won the argument with the GPS and we were soon back on our way to Atlantic Canada."
