October 2009 — "For those who aren’t used to typical Chinese restaurants, Good Buddy may come as a shock. Good Buddy is your typical Hong Kong style restaurant where the food is average, price is reasonable, service is nothing close to 5 stars, and sanitation is borderline. It’s good for when a quick fix of fairly authentic Chinese food is needed, but comes with a little bit of work. You may have to flag down your server to place an order, and you may have to re-wipe some of the dinnerware with hot tea and a napkin, but if you are prepared for that your meal will be satisfying. Soup or fried noodles are always a good choice as are the rice dishes. I enjoy the breakfast and lunch specials offered during certain hours of the day, which help the undecided and may also include a beverage. Hong Kong style drinks are available such as bubble tea and smoothies. Take away and delivery are also options. "

September 2009 — "My husband and I ordered in last night, we thought we'd treat ourselves to some yummy Chinese food! I read the review from the previous customer and thought we'd try it out.
Really bad idea. Maybe the food is better when you actually go to the restaurant, but our delivery order was, well, I'll go on...
We ordered the dinner for three. You can check out the menu for yourself, but it's pretty basic.
Our spring rolls were hard and tasted old. Our Wonton soup was undercooked and I can't even describe the nasty taste of the noodles... The fried rice had crispy rice in it and was very cold. Ginger beef soggy. Chicken balls, okay, but the sauce was generic and also cold. Beef and broccoli was okay, at least it was hot.
Oh! And they charged us a 3$ delivery fee when the website clearly boasts free delivery over 30$.
Two massive thumbs down for Good Buddy."

August 2008 — "My wife and I ate there last night. The food quality is excellent. We started with spring rolls and BBQ pork. The spring rolls were the best we've had and the pork was flavourful and tender. Both the won ton and hot and sour soups were very good. For the main course we had lemon chicken, shrimp with cashews and fried rice. The portions were large and all was served piping hot. The batter on the chicken was paper thin and crispy, lots of cashews with the shrimp and enough rice for four people. Unfortunately the service was not great. The server would drop off food and disappear. Water was never refilled and no one asked how the meals were. Twice I had to get up and find someone to help us. Dirty dishes sat on the table for the entire meal. We spent $35.00 for dinner and the food was worth every penny. The tip we left reflected the poor service. This is a very noisy restaurant, not the place for a romantic dinner. We will be back with friends next time and hopefully the service will be better. "
