June 2008 — "Ahh Ethiopean Cuisine... Lango Skies is a comfortable little restaurant on Whyte Ave. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. There is a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. At lunchtime there are options for getting individual combo plates. A friend and I went in the evening and these lunch combos weren't available. So the friendly staff helped us to choose two vegetarian dishes to share: Yemisir Kik Wot and Gomen Wot. One was a spicy lentil (or pea) mixture, the other a cooked spinach blend.
Both arrived to our table together on a giant platter. Covering the platter was the Ethiopian flatbread called injera. The two mixtures were served upon the bread along with a scoop of salad. Additional rolls of the injera were also presented. The best part of this meal is that it is meant to be eaten with the hand. One takes a piece of the injera and uses it to scoop up some of the tasty blends. Yummm. I would suggest inviting a friend or two so you can try a variety of dishes together! "
