April 2010 — "Olives is a really nice restauraunt, great decor, the service was very good - the food disappointing. I myself had the halibut which, although cooked to the proper texture, had very little taste. It may have been because it was such a little piece of fish on such a little pile of potato. We enjoy nice restaurants that might be a little pricey but I still expect, for $30+, to get a decent piece of fish and enough to satisfy the hunger and provide unique flavours. I left feeling hungry and ripped off. The rest of our party had pasta, and some other dishes I don't recall, no one was impressed with their meals, it was just okay. I don't think we'll go back to this one."

December 2009 — "Checked this place out with some friends for a little pre-Christmas dinner and needless to say even our best expectations for the evening were surpassed.
First of all the interior is incredibly modern with dinner guests seated in the dining area treated to the bustling environment that an open kitchen design allows.
The service was top notch, as the wait-staff wasted no time in replacing our plates when needed and making sure our wine glasses were never empty. Our server, as well as the management who delivered our meal were incredibly well versed in what we ordered, which added a welcome air of enjoyment to the meal.
The meal itself was outstanding. Our dinner party started with the tomato salad which contained a good amount of mozzarella cheese, and an antipasto platter. For our entree we were treated to a seared scallops and rib eye steak with mashed potatoes. The scallops were outstanding, with their crispy outside and tender insides, while the steak was the perfect complement to the Malbec we were consuming copiously. To end our meal we shared a cheese board that contained some of the creamiest triple-creme brie I've ever seen.
All in all, the price was well worth the cost of admission."
